Silver Juice is the third official release from Lord Friday the 13th. Written over the course of twelve minutes in an automatic writing session as an homage to the late great David Berman (of Silver Jews, Purple Mountains, Etc.) in late 2019.

The silver juice flows from beyond the soda machine behind mr.clean with his mean bald sheen. In this mall of malls at night where half the clientele are poltergeists. go for a walk and find that nothing’s left behind except your mind and maybe a paperclip. do a flip over the fountain while climbing up the mountain of deals on wheels and finery. a growing adult empire is flowing with the vampires for the umpire’s tires. I don’t know where to look except into a book filled with words and lies about the times i didn’t see. come away with me up the escalators of shame where we all can exclaim our claim to own it. this mall’s the place that we call home and you’re never there alone with the clientele of poltergeists. the clientele of poltergeists. the clientele of poltergeists. Take my picture by the sign that says “listen to your mind” but don’t go too far, wouldn’t want to trust yourself. my my my i want to die and be with them up in the sky in the mall where the clientele are mostly poltergeists. where the silver juice flows from the mountain through your toes. nobody really knows and i don’t want to. let’s do something sometime if you want to i don’t. I’m confused more than not and I’m sure you aren’t too. where’s the nearest exit? pretty little man with elegant hands. fairest in the land. who asked me? not myself don’t call me here again. I’m on a road trip you know? the kind where everything just goes the way it goes. emotionally incompetent.
